GMFM’s March Mission: Encouragement, Fellowship, and Aid for Refugees in Zokhawthar, Mizoram

From March 18 to 20, 2025, the Global Mission Foundation Movement (GMFM) embarked on a meaningful journey to strengthen ministry ties and support refugees in Mizoram, India. The three-day visit was marked by leadership fellowship, compassionate outreach, and a powerful reminder of God’s presence among the suffering.

March 18: Meeting with MFM Leaders Board

The visit began with a fruitful meeting on March 18 between GMFM representatives and the leadership board of the Mission Foundation Movement (MFM). This gathering served as a valuable time for planning, prayer, and aligning shared vision for expanding God’s Kingdom. Discussions centered around continued support for refugee communities, discipleship efforts, and ministry growth throughout the region.

March 19: Camp Visit

On March 19, the GMFM team visited a local camp, spending time with displaced families and individuals affected by ongoing conflict and displacement. Listening to their stories, sharing words of hope, and praying together brought encouragement and healing to many. The visit was a testament to the power of presence and the importance of walking alongside the hurting.

March 20: Refugee Camp in Zokhawthar, Mizoram

The final and most moving part of the trip took place on March 20, when the GMFM team visited the refugee camp in Zokhawthar, Mizoram, India. This border village has become a haven for many Chin refugees fleeing violence and instability in Myanmar.

To provide tangible support, GMFM donated bags of rice to the refugees, addressing urgent food needs and offering a symbol of love and solidarity. The donation was warmly received, and the smiles on the faces of the recipients were a reflection of restored hope.

A Mission of Compassion and Faith

This mission trip served as a powerful reminder of God’s call to love and serve one another. Through fellowship, prayer, and generosity, GMFM and MFM continue to stand united in their mission to bring light into some of the world’s darkest places.

Let us continue to uplift the refugees in Zokhawthar and the leaders serving them, asking God to provide, protect, and guide in the days ahead.
